Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 27, 2026
Overview
AUTEUR[LAB] is a private workspace for laboratory film projects, teams, project boards, published works, and editorial feedback. This policy explains what information the service uses and how read-only YouTube data is handled for published project videos.
Information we process
The service may process the following information when you use AUTEUR[LAB]:
- account information such as email, username, display name, and avatar;
- workspace membership, project roles, project status, and project history;
- published project links, cover images, and final YouTube URLs provided in the workspace;
- server logs needed for security, reliability, and abuse prevention.
Google and YouTube data
AUTEUR[LAB] uses Google OAuth only with read-only YouTube scopes. The service reads video metadata and YouTube Analytics metrics for published laboratory works connected to the AUTEUR[LAB] YouTube channel.
For those videos, the service may read and store:
- video identifiers, titles, publication dates, duration, and public counters;
- view counts, likes, comments, subscriber gain/loss, and watch-time metrics;
- audience retention and relative retention report values needed for attention maps.
AUTEUR[LAB] does not use these scopes to upload, edit, delete, publish, or manage YouTube videos. The service does not store raw YouTube API responses for public display and does not expose raw Analytics reports to ordinary users.
How information is used
Information is used to operate the workspace and show project context, including:
- project boards, sprint views, participant profiles, and role-based project access;
- video attention metrics on project pages;
- the laboratory top works page based on saved YouTube metrics;
- security, diagnostics, backups, and service reliability.
Sharing and sale of data
AUTEUR[LAB] does not sell personal information or YouTube Analytics data. Information is shared only as needed to run the service, comply with law, protect the service, or use infrastructure providers that host the application, database, email, backups, and media assets.
Access, retention, and revocation
Account and project information is retained while it is needed to operate the laboratory workspace and preserve project records. YouTube metrics may remain in saved project records until they are removed by an operator or no longer needed.
Google account access can be revoked from the Google account permissions page. If access is revoked, AUTEUR[LAB] will no longer be able to refresh YouTube Analytics data until a new authorization is granted.
Contact
For privacy questions or data requests, contact the AUTEUR[LAB] operator through your workspace administrator or the support email shown on the Google OAuth consent screen.
